Well, I guess it was bound to happen at some point. I'm a bit disappointed since I've never received an explanation for 2 previous suspensions but here are my guesses as to why my account was banned:
- too many "declined trades" - this is more rumor than truth I think. i get literally hundreds of trades a day and am too OCD to let them clutter up my trade box. I've been in the habit of either accept or decline and that wasn't going to change.
- several members reporting you (reason unknown) - not sure if there's any truth to the "you get suspended if 5 different people" report you thing, but it's a possibility that random people like to report me
- posting unrelated comment in newsfeed - I've literally almost ceased this in totality, so I doubt this is the cause. Many others continue to use the newsfeed as a discussion forum, unencumbered by banishment.
- cross-app trades - this is the most likely cause in my mind, but also the most confusing. I've traded Bunt for Huddle cards on a couple of occasions, as I know others have done as well. It's not explicitly forbidden in the rules and I've never been warned that it's a banning offense. I left Bunt b/c of the account farms and futility of keeping up with people who can manufacture coins at will. I've spent a ton of money on both apps, and honestly wanted to consolidate some of my investment in the app I considered the better of the two. Shame on me if that deserves a lifetime ban. I'll accept it and move on.
Final Thoughts - I enjoyed Huddle immensely, and showed my appreciation by monetarily supporting the app to a ridiculous extent. Not sure if I spent the most, but I'd wager I'm pretty close. If there's a Topps employee who reads this and would be kind enough to respond, I would greatly appreciate it. If anyone else who reads this can take up my cause on the app and help me get an explanation, that would be appreciated as well. I'm not looking for a repeal of my banishment, just an explanation. If I've broken a rule (3x's no less), I deserve to be banned. Frankly, it's Topps lost revenue and a ton of savings for me. Just sad that my exit from the app will look like I disappeared and not the Topps inflicted punishment that it truly is.
thanks for the memories....Dontchacano
